Your grades, password protected files, and other information are available by registering at CENOTES as follows:

For Grades:

  1. Go to http://cenotes.tamu.edu
  2. Click on Course Links, then CVEN 221, or CVEN 422, or CVEN 345, or whatever your class is.
  3. Click on "New Users Please Register"   to set up a secure request for your grades.
  4. Enter your email address (where do you want your grades to be emailed?)
  5. Enter your first and last name.
  6. Enter a User ID for use when you sign on to the system in the future. You can use your name if desired.
  7. Enter your student UID (not your social security number!) for matching your the grade in the database.
  8. Enter a CASE SENSITIVE password for security.
  9. Enter it again for verification.
  10. Click "Submit Registration Information"
  11. It will then say that you are registered. Note that you will have to register once for every course for which you want your grades. I have already entered the class roster, so if you enter an incorrect UIN it won't let you register. Please email me to be added to the class roster.
  12. On the far left-hand side, click on "CE Notes Home" to see all classes.
  13. Click on "Members Please Log In" and log in.
  14. Enter your USER ID (not your Name, not your "UIN", not your CASE SENSITIVE password -> your USER ID.)
  15. Enter your Case Sensitive Password.
  16. Click on "Submit Login Information." You are now logged on.
  17. Once you are logged on, on the far left-hand side, click on "Student Menu", then "E-Mail Grades" to have your grades emailed to you.
  18. Enter your student UID (not your social security number!)
  19. Click on "Email My Grades"
  20. Your grades will be mailed to the email address that you listed during registration.
  21. You can change either your email address or your UID. Go to "Student Menu" and click on "Edit UIN# or Email".

I realize that this may seem like a lot of work just to get your grades, but it is necessary to keep them secure. Note that grades will be posted every now and then. If the system emails you 7 grades, then that's all that are posted. I hope to get them posted at least 2 or 3 times during the semester. The latest posting date will be noted on the grades send to you.

For password protected files (if we have any):

  1. Go to http://cenotes.tamu.edu and login to your class.
  2. Click on Browse Files.
  3. Right-click on the file of your choice to download.
  4. Note that executable files like setup_ees.exe cannot get through the university firewall for security purposes. You will HAVE to download them with their phony name, and rename them as specified after you get them. Thus the file may appear setup_ees, and after you download it you have to rename it to setup_ees.exe.
